Ron Knode
LEF Associate
CSC
Ron Knode, LEF Associate, conducted the research for the LEF Technology Program report – Digital Trust: Shaking Hands with the Digital Enterprise. Ron, who developed the theme of ‘digital trust’ as the focus of the research, is a seasoned IT security expert and noted authority in the field. Prior to his LEF Associate special assignment, Ron was director of global security architecture and design engineering for the Global Security Solutions business unit of CSC. He was responsible for the design, provisioning, deployment and measurement of end-to-end security solutions that support CSC’s commercial and government clients around the world. He guided global teams of information risk management specialists in the generation, planning, design, development and initial delivery of security services that respond to client and market needs not only for protection and compliance, but also for enhanced business value in return for a security investment.
Working on Digital Trust has reinvigorated and reinforced Ron’s appreciation for the capacity of information technology to generate and sustain digital trust in the networked world. Even Ron has been a bit surprised at the extent of digital trust applications as essential contributors for business value as well as protection and compliance. His new digital trust perspective also helps him to communicate that message to the enterprise. Shaking hands with the digital enterprise is now a little easier.
Ron is a highly-sought-after speaker, the author of many articles on information security and an adjunct faculty member at Towson University in Maryland. He has appeared on television and radio as an expert in ethreats and as a commentator on IT security trends. Ron is based in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.
