Brinley Platts is a leading independent coach, author and researcher; an authority on CIO careers and skill sets. He is currently working on a research project for the Leading Edge Forum, looking at the competencies of the top IT teams that CIOs will need to deploy in the coming five years. His coaching clients include the most senior IT executives from FTSE 100 companies.
Previously, Brinley led the management buyout from KPMG of the IMPACT Programme (a leading source of personal and professional development for CIOs and their core teams), where he was Managing Director for three years. Prior to his seven year engagement with the KPMG strategic consulting practice, he was Principal Consultant at the UK National Computing Centre where he developed the international training practice.
Although he has spent his entire career in IT executive and career development, Brinley has a degree in Behavioural Science and his passion is the realization of human resource potential. He has just completed his first book for John Wiley International Publishers: Building Confidence for Dummies.
